Re: 1/1400 Galaxy Quest N.S.E.A. Protector Spaceship - Pegasus Hobby

Greetings and Felicitations, Fellow Questarians! If you have been following this thread; first, bless you for dropping by, reading and commenting on my humble, maddening build, second, you will remember I had purchased some Legos on which to prop the Protector. I had no pad with which to keep my sup...

Thanks, Nova!

It's taking its time! It'll look all the better for it though, IMHO!

Thanks for looking!

Good Day, My Fellow Questarians! Another quick update - the Spousal Unit is home and she has a "honey-do" list that steals my building time! ;) ;D I was able to finish the Bussard Collector housing and the ventral of the STBD Engine Pod. https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4306/35183899954_07c3...

How's the kit coming along? Having fun still? Answer 1. Slowly! Answer 2: Considering the "hit" some of us took with Photorobbery this week, I have spent a majority of my free time migrating to Flickr. I am in the process of "fixing" this thread and one other I am on. The...

"Please update your account to enable 3rd party hosting." And that, dear readers, is yet another reason why photobucket sucks so bloody hard. And they should be avoided at all cost now Lesson learned, Gentlemen! Migrating to Flicker as we speak. Once I get the links updated, I'll fix this...

Re: What to do about Photobucket

Mine has already been restricted. I am updating my current build and maybe the ones in the Gallery, but the others will have to wait. I am following Trekriffic's lead and migrating to Flickr. They offer 1TB of free storage. Its really sucks that photobucket has resorted to cyber bullying to get fina...

Re: Painting “Trompe L’oeil” scheme

What are you modeling? The ship or the shooting model? If the former, keep the trench. If the latter, have fun. There is nothing exotic about trompe l’oeil. The techniques are well understood. For a model the size you are making a lot of precision masking is right. After you fill in the trench, or ...
