Re: Klingon Blades + Weapons

First of all, no coincidence that betleH (or bat'leth) rhymes with meqleH (or mek'leth), since the eH in both is related to the Klingon word 'etlh, meaning blade. ("betleH" is originally related to the words batlh 'etlh, meaning "honor blade." "meqleH" might be related ...

Re: Can you use a rattlecan indoors?

If you must spray inside, do it near a window. Put a fan in the window blowing outwards. Fan should be cheap. It will get overspray all over it. Cover everything near the window. Now all the ill effects will be shared among your neighbors, muwahahaha!

Re: Can you use a rattlecan indoors?

I stopped using rattlecans inside altogether. The smell is awful and takes a long time to dissipate, and the overspray goes everywhere, making for some colorful snot! Eccch! Now whenever I need to use rattlecans, I take it outside, away from anything I don't want to get paint on, like houses or cars...

Thumbs up!

I like your take on the NX-01 refit, with the deflector lights in place of the saucer-mounted dish.

Re: What does Star Trek mean to you?

Or John Ford's other ST novel, The Final Reflection. Incredibly better than the average ST novel!

Why Paramount would have any problem with FASA's input, I don't know. You'd think they'd love to have licensees doing the creative work, instead of having to pay writers to do it.

Re: Americans'' Freedom from Hassle Petition

That's the difference between politicians and street level criminals. Sure, they both have someone who wants to kill them, but street level criminals can't afford anything like that level of protection. Politicians can afford it because . . . OK Americans, remember to pay your taxes by April 15!

Re: Americans'' Freedom from Hassle Petition

Come to think of it, my brother in law got shoved out of the elevator in his own apartment building in DC years ago by Janet Reno's security detachment. On the other hand, I know of people who've gotten this same treatment because they were in the way of Hollywood celebrities.

Re: What does Star Trek mean to you?

My first experience of Star Trek was in 1972 on Channel 48. "Devil in the Dark" was the episode. Astronauts from Earth, plus a Vulcan (?!), visit a planet where a mining operation is being disrupted with deadly results by a mysterious creature that tunnels through solid rock, and which tur...

Re: Americans'' Freedom from Hassle Petition

It's just the Pres and VP who cause these hassles. I ran into my congressman in the supermarket one time. We said, "Hi."
