Re: Federation Standard Containers

Gotta say, I like that people transport version- mainly because it has it's own impulse crystal (shield generator). I like the notion that it might have it's own shield generator to contribute to the defense of the ship hauling it! I'd like to see a version with a flat bottom- something made to be ...

That's because the Eaglemoss box is "one size fits all". So the models all vary in size/scale.

Re: Federation Standard Containers

Not sure if someone asked to post them, but anyways... Here are some container designs I found on the net. If ya want me to post the rest, just say so. ;) container_antideuterium[1].jpg container_antideuterium_ref[1].jpg container_bulk[1].jpg container_bulk_pro[1].jpg container_bulk_ref[1].jpg conta...

Re: 50x50=2500, 12 (pic heavy)

50 Years, 50 (even more) Models, 2500 Scale... 12 Colonies of Man -- Battlestar Galactica Ships! Battlestar TOS (too small for 1/2500) Base Ship TOS (too small for 1/2500) HUH?! :o  These two, too small for 1/2500? How so? If both Galactica's, TOS and NU/Reimaged, are both bigger than the En...

Re: Federation Standard Containers

I have a file on just about every single drawing of ST TOS (and TMP, I think) containers made.
Lots of container and decal ideas for containers.

Re: Federation Standard Containers

I like the wooden dowel idea although PVC pipe sounds good too. For the ends you maybe could bond a pair of these 1/2" diameter acrylic half spheres: https://www.usplastic.com/catalog/item.aspx?sku=91572&gclid=CjwKCAiA-KzSBRAnEiwAkmQ15y7IU7iYtIeGGDd2PDeiqd0e_nDoECwzhoZcEd5k8yXKLCiUN6ISZhoC...

Re: What's in store for... aw, who's counting?

No, i gotcha- but intra-ship beaming was still dangerous as heck in the TNG era- making it too risky to be part of the Oberth's design. OTOH, I've always felt that intra-ship beaming should be safe and should be universal instead of turbolifts- Just run a dedicated conduit for the matter stream to ...

Re: Sortuf a 1/2500 Diorama... :)

Ah ok. and, no. I didn't insinuate that it was a borrowed idea, just that, the only one I remembered was the one from the old site/forum. ;) I just mean that I heard of the Borg face here. I wasn't in the old forum long enough to have heard it there. Maybe the person who said it was the perso...

Re: What's in store for... aw, who's counting?

Well, I assumed that the Pylons were thick enough for a ladder or Jeffries Tubes if the power went out for any reason, giving manual access to and from it. Naw. Over at the Flare Sci Fi Forums, we broke the whole ship down by decks- based on the ship's length and known deck height, the Oberth needs...
