Getting the seat back correctly shaped. There is a chair under all the stuff. Clamped in with a paint brush to get the plastic to curl into the curve of the chair. Well see how this works. One of those three handed jobs.

Did you heat the plastic beforehand?

No, just glue and pressure. The paint brush is one I had just thrown out. It was the perfect size. I threw it back out. Its bristlelessness offends me.

A couple of quick shots front and back. I need to do shaping and filling the gap between the two sheets. I used 0.020" on the front and 0.010" on the back.

No measurement or comparison to the actual Burk chair was done. Just mark one Eyeball and that looks about right.

Still working on the homage to the Burk chair. I came to the conclusion that the angled tip of the hypodermic needle was not my friend, so I removed it.

The edges of the chair back bedevils me. They do not wish to be smoothed.

I will not give up.

Have you thought about using a hair drier to soften the plastic? It would have to be for a very brief period of time since you don't want to warp the seat

One of those holes that will not fill.
