There'll be a comic book coming out in December you might want to know about. Artist and writer John Byrne was noodling panel layouts using screencaptures from episodes, and quickly turned to experimenting with photomanipulation to see if he could tell his own story.
The development can be seen on his forum.

The catalog for comic shops to order December's issues is out now, so now's the time to ask the clerk about the Star Trek Annual. Don't say I didn't warn you!

I got this from my comic book guy a few weeks ago. Have yet to finish it but it what I read of it was really cool. Almost like watching an episode. Just missing the great sound track

Yeah, it took me a while to read it. I couldn't just look at the pictures and skim the word balloons; I had to let the dialog fall into the rhythm of the TV show.
