Opinions about use Photo-etch on Enterprise E 1:1400 kit?

I am thinking on buy this photo-etch for my new Enterprise E 1:1400...



I have the intention to light the kit and my question is if the PE in the clear parts will add quality to the model or will be more like a "light jammer"...

anneal the photo-etch first, super-thin CA with fast-kicker, sharp hobby knife, gloves (or be prepared to get cut by the edges)

Today I received my kit and it came along with a PE (a bonus that I didn't suppose to receive!). It's great and now that I have it certainly I will use it. The problem is that it seems so fragile that I hope my clumsy hands do not destroy it!

take your time, keep some fingernail polish remover (acetone) around - in case you glue your fingers to a part or it slides around while drying

good for cleaning up the parts afterward if needed - lightly wipe with a acetone dipped q-tip until it's cleaned up

I think that for this particular project CA will work for some parts but not for all. The long grilles, the trapezoids and the circles are all to be attached to clear parts and CA is well known for fogging it. I made some research and for such cases seems that canopy glue is more indicated.

Canopy Glue is good. You could also try GS-HYPO cement for a stronger bond. It's used for watch crystals. I've used it recently and it will not fog clear plastic. It comes in a tube with a hypodermic needle for precise application.
