oh, my little projects are way above my current level....I have 3 in mind.... all in 1/1000 (at least for now)

The three I have in mind are a Northampton Class With Excelsior type upgrades. I think I would use a 1/1400 saucer and engines (I want it to be much smaller than a 1/1000 Excelsior class- just have familial similarities)...

I've also considered a "refit" style but with a much lower profile:

Then there's the Thufir class, I'm still deciding if I should do it as drawn here or close the catamaran hull, move the warp engines to the "wings" and make it more like a pre-cursor to the Saber Class... I can add an image - once I've created it ;)

and another one of my favorites, the Remora Class upgrade, CrazyEddies does a 1/1400, where if I could get them to either enlarge the bridge module or leave it off all together, it is the PERFECT scale for a 1/1000 scaled Remora refit... (I think it should as an Escort be more defiant size than just smaller than the ⅔'s as listed in the FASA manual...) I've also borrowed the "Shoulder" pieces from the Northampton refit to give a better place to add the Nacelle attachments...

I will be trying out how to do it on a 1/1000 excelsior saucer (it got somewhat damaged when the paint didn't work right so I won't feel too bad about completely destroying it now).... but as this really will be my first attempt at any true kit bashing besides just making Part A go to area B... well we'll see. And as I'll already be shelling out as much $ as Paul01 Can handle with his upcoming releases I can't really bug him to scratch build them for me!

No reason they cant be done the Remora will probably be the easiest to do the Northampton may need some structural support for the nacelles

I have used several mixes of scale to represent smaller classes of ship

My Remora had a 1:537 hull with a modified bridge and B/C deck in 1:350

My incomplete baker class uses 2 1:537 hulls to give the right thickness but 1:350 (Shortened) Nacelles

and my PA ship used a 1:500 jj prise primary hull

Here's the other ship with using the Thufir as the starting point.... not sure what to call it, but it's probably a frigate of some sort...

Not 100% on the Side view... it needs less secondary hull I think... but I'm tired and can't fidget anymore tonight... ;)

Updated most of the pictures to a new hosting service just hope nothing else goes wrong

there will be some gaps but they are not a top priority at the moment

Been enjoying the build pics. Great work! I found an Orion Wanderer on Shapeways and requested it be enlarged to 1k scale because of your build. Thank you for the inspiration!

Now I just gotta buy the thing....
