coated the main parts of the hull in primer, greys and whites to get the basic colour

I sprayed the fuel pods a base coat of silver then used a thinned down rusty colour as a wash

then masked off the areas I wanted to have darker and used a heavier wash over them. After drying did a bit of dry brushing to pick out detail and highlights

Nicely weathered.

Very nice. The tanker look is really coming together.

Wow! I love that space rust and space grim on those tanks.

Major components assembled (Nacelles not glued yet) but wanted to get it on a stand and see what it looked like

one of the joints on the hull has split so I'll have to repair it  and more painting, detailing and registry markings

this project has progressed nicely!
there's a lot of hints of bonaventure class there too,
even an homage to USS Ares in the nacelle angle and all.

You could see an episode,
with this ship being battle-damaged,
having been attacked by Klingons, Tholians or the Breen (some speculative badguy)
leaking whatever is in those cargopods...

likewise,
seeing a fleet of these and the Ptolemy, Virago and other freighters,
that'd be awesome too,
evacuating a bunch of colonies along the neutral sector/quadrant (appropriate TMP era terminology)

After aztecing, will the ship itself be 'spaceweathered' to a similar extent as the cargo containers?
