ENTRY RULES

1) One entry per member. "Accessorizing" your entry IS allowed, such as adding little figures or part of a hanger for a shuttle diorama. However, add ons should only serve to enhance and not eclipse/outnumber the main subject/build, which should be clearly distinguishable.

2) Construction materials can be any type of kit parts (starships, planes, armor, cars, etc), in addition (but not limited) to household items, or basic materials such as foam or styrene.

3) 3D printing a physical creation (in part or in whole) is allowed, provided you own (or have the rights to use) the mesh. Proof of this will be required upon submission.

4) Entries must be new builds, and therefore cannot have been entered in previous competitions.

5) All entries will be judged together. So, a starship kitbash will be judged against someone else's shuttle diorama. Additionally, an "out of box" entry will be judged against a kitbash.

6) In order to enter the contest each member must post their interest in the Contest Sign Up thread. I will then give you thread creation access to post in the Contest Entries section, so that you can start your WIP thread.

AFTER YOU'VE SIGNED UP (BY THE JULY 1ST SIGN UP DEADLINE)

7) As soon as you have been given access, get started on your WIP thread! You just need a title, 1 pic (minimum) of the parts and a brief summary/backstory of your idea. Placeholder content can be posted, while either thinking of a concept or experimenting/asking for input from other members. IMPORTANT: You must submit your FINAL concept, making sure you edit the title and post an update in the thread by July 1st.

8) Think of an idea for a new build (N.B. "New" should ideally be starting from scratch. Exceptions can be made in rare cases. Please ask in the Have a question? thread if you have something in mind, but aren't sure).

9) Treat the WIP thread like a mini blog. Add pics (minimum: 1 at the start, 1 midway and 4 when you're finished) and updates as your build progresses. Make the build thread entertaining, by adding commentary, plenty of pics and a backstory..

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

PICTURES/VIDEOS

10) Including photos/pics of your work is mandatory. The more of pics you include as your build progresses, the better. High resolution pics are preferred. Please note: If using the "upload image" option, make sure you "add inline".

11) The minimum requirements are 6 pics. 1 pic of parts/materials at the start, 1 at the middle stage of your build and 4 of your finished design. The finished build pics must include shots of the top, side, front and back. You may add as many pics as you wish, both during the build and when you have finished. Pics can be uploaded directly to AST if need be.

12) Use of image editing programs to enhance your pics is allowed, but only to make minor adjustments, such as lighting. Adding "special fx" or backgrounds is prohibited.

13) Videos documenting your build are allowed. Videos must be linked and cannot be uploaded to AST. Please note that if you intend on including extensive video installments, you must also include a written "summary" with each video.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

VOTING

14) Entries will be judged by the community, with each member allowed to vote for their "top 3".
ALL VOTES MUST BE DONE IN PRIVATE AND ONLY REVEALED TO XEN VIA PRIVATE MESSAGE.

15) Participants ARE allowed to vote, but are prohibited from voting on their own entry.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
