Hi again guys
Hope you don't think I'm spamming
Part of my ongoing monster build plan https://allscaletrek.com/viewtopic.php?f=61&t=3831 was an AMT/ERTL Klingon Bird of Prey. I totally forgot to include it or show you guys any progress I've done on it, which to be honest is really bad as this was the first one of my restoration to complete!
So, while I'm waiting for my Decal Sol and Set, as well as my Enterprise D decals to turn I thought I'd catch you up.
This was the Bird of Prey in her broken state:
I fixed the right wing and filled in the hole that the original stand fit in to with putty. I later sanded it down and painted over it.
This bar fell off while I was handling her. She needed to be handled delicately. You can also see where the stand used to be attached... such a poor effort I did of that
Here she is, fix complete, glue drying. Next up, I gave a little upgrade in the paint job. Not much like, just highlighting some details, as I think she had a pretty decent one already
And here she is, all complete, weathered a little, slightly upgraded paint job and remounted on her stand
Hope you guys forgive me for not posting this sooner

Nice restoration work! I built one of these for the AST Summer 2014 "Make it So" Model Contest. Did lots of weathering and accurizing to go along with LED lighting. I even got the expensive hinge kit with the sliding panels for the wings to move up and down. Anyway, I was pretty pleased with it; and I guess others liked it too since it took first place!
Scalewise, I don't think it's ever been determined, but to me it looks to be about 1/350; at least it looked to be about that size when I put it next to my big Enterprise:

Looking great! Hey, question. What color green and other colors did you use for the Klingon Bird of Prey.
I have a K'tinga I want to build and paint, but want to re-imagine a bit by using the same colors as a Klingon Bird of Prey.

Ohhh I couldn't tell you if I'm honest
It was quite a while ago that I built it, but I wasn't (and still am not) an expert builder, so I imagine I didn't have anything in mind while picking the colours.
Most likely "standard" red and green... Whatever "standard" means
Sorry I couldn't be more help

Ooops I meant the links to the original pictures have been updated, after the photobucket debacle.
