Figure half starliners and half gear and animals. That would be a decent sized, well equipped colony.

Interesting designs. A couple of the ships in the right side of the chart remind me of the Rebel Transports from The Empire Strikes Back. :)

I kinda wish these were 3D turnarounds, just so I could marvel even more at those in particular

Me to also. I have a 1/2500 scale Dolphin profile cut out, but work on the ship stalled there trying to figure out how to build it.

kobayashimaru wrote:Awesome to see the Euphrates and Euripides class "Heavy Miranda" variant - those are awesome also,
and TOS variants too? top stuff.
The Nia was the only "TOS" era ship. The Euphrates is a transport ship that ended as a heavy cruiser.

kobayashimaru wrote:I do have to ask, what does the Planet class look like from top down?
The mid section reminds me of the Urbino and Chariot class ships,
but the lateral profile looks unlike any Federation design previously seen - awesome!
If it flew backwards, it might look like a Sarajevo variant,
as-is, it has notes of a warbird profile to my eyes.
It is slender, not ray shaped, more whale. I haven’t gotten to a three view of that one, I should.

I love doing this stuff. How about some low res Euphrates five view.

One can see the Federation ship design, incorporated with the non-Fed, and it looks natural. :)

I would love to make models of these ships.

I know you made one a while ago (the one in your avatar). I can't remember if it was for the old SM Dominion War contest or just some random SM Gallery submission. Why did you stop there? Don't answer if it's too personal, of course. I'm just curious.

Well the Manta came well before I even knew about SSM. The other ships, lack of motivation. The Manta is a kitbash, but you don't see much of the donor. I do lots of things not just models my attention flutters about.

I only got really serious about the older Ane ships recently. Part of the deal is I need to learn 3D modeling, and I have a hard time reading the controls of the program.

Ah, human memories and how jumbled they get over the years. I wonder where it was that I saw the manta so long ago though... hmmm.

Well, I knew it was a kitbash from the deflector. Though I recognized a lot of the 1/2500 Enterprise-D parts, you hid and transformed them really well. Good luck with the 3D modeling. I hope to see more of the fleet in the future, 3D or physical. :)

I'm not so sure about the others in the fleet, but I love the Manta. Something about it resonates with me.
