Goliath-class Transport Refit

Postby Griffworks » Sat Aug 12, 2017 2:37 am

This is my version of the Goliath-class transport. Thus aaa a seconds casting I received some years ago. The original configuration was for a TOS ship with, IIRC, three nacelles. It's meant to be able to haul 6 containers. I built this as a Lost Years Era - roughly 2290 to 2340-ish - Refit used by private interests for long-haul transport to future colony sites.

The bridge is from an NX-01 kit from VA Miniatures, the nav-deflector is from an AMT / ERTL Refit, nacelles and impulse deck from an AMT/ERTL Enterprise-B.

No idea on when I'll revisit this build, tho I do want to get back to it.

I really like what you did with this one. I won't replicate it (no offense) but you've given me ideas on what else I could do

indeed, it does have a certain, traumschiff surprise quality to it.

thanks for sharing.
this reminds me of the mining freighters from the ST:Armada game,
and the freighters from ST:TAS abandoned season 2.
the Excelsior style nacelles and main deflector make all the difference.

she might have a 'totem' like appearance,
though, who cares what a starship resembles once it's at warp.

will it have workbees from the cargo-bays and all?
