NCC-7101 U.S.S REPRISE
Had a bit of spare time and slightly insane thought pattern and this is the result.
Attached are 4 pictures from different angles.

Some more pictures to give a better overall view of this ship.

I built another ship from another Next Gen. Enterprise kit but this one was recently damaged so is in the workshop for repair and upgrade. Will post upon completion.

There's a reason they refer to a ship as "she"

The hemispheres were in the spares box and I thought they looked good in that position, no other reason.
But I do like the reference to ships referred to as "she".

I dunno. They could also be "balls" which may be construed as belonging to a "he".

No, no, no! A "he" would have entire spheres, not half spheres, or hemispheres, so to speak. Also missing something more prominent. It's definitely a "she".

Interesting... PERSONALLY I don't like that big thing in the front of the ship though. Actually I longed a little while to understand what was going on -- perhaps because the angle of the pictures and the color used in the hull...

But mostly of scratch building and kit-bashes end being kind of puzzling because we are not used to the shape I guess!



PS: I refuse to enter this childish discussion about the sexuality of the ship. You guys are suffering of too much of a Freudian influence in my opinion!

The original prow was a lot blunter and in line with leading edge of the saucer, but an accident gave me the opportunity to fix some areas I wasn't happy with. One of the areas I fixed was raising the saucer to increase the gap between saucer the original secondary hull and this left some gaps at the front and back. The back was easy as the plastic strip closed these quite effectively, but the front offered some challenges. The local hobby shop had given me some after market vehicle bodies that they couldn't sell.
The one I chose to use was long and thin in section with openings for the cab and side intakes. These were filled with plastic strips. I then built down to sensor array using overlapping plastic strip, thus creating the ship type prow which is the result I wanted.
