Re: Federation Standard Containers

Wooden dowels, too. Easier to work with, although I've never been able to sand the ends into the proper shape. They take a lot of primer or paint to cover the grain, and they show up any dings they get.

Re: 1/2700 Imperial Star Destroyer

Hey, I've seen that Gozanti in Rebels. Doesn't it have a variant that carries AT-ST walkers and (gently, I hope,) lands them on a planet? Or am I catching resin fumes from Del?

Re: 2017 Group Build deadline Extention

Oh, man! I know the kit was sitting in the same position in July that it had been in June, because it was convenient for this: http://www.bright.net/~jackbohn/sf/K_G1_JB1.jpg http://www.bright.net/~jackbohn/sf/K_G1_JB2.jpg And if I go and look at the workbench now, I bet I will find it in that condi...

Re: Amarillo Design Bureau Shapeways Store

ADB has put out Gunboats! These are small starships, the rulebook says 35m, so in 1/3125 or 1/3788 they would be just over or just under a centimeter, but they decided to make the individual minis larger -- smaller than the smallest "real" starship above them, but bigger than the shuttle/f...

Re: Roud 2 New 1/1000 scale Oberth and BoP for 2018.

I wonder which would be least expensive, to rework the Cadet mold of the E-B into an Excelsior, or create a new one from the plans for the 1/1000 parts to build the NX or NCC version. Still, another Movie set could cover III and IV with the Grissom , BoP (with an optional small "HMS Bounty"...

Re: Shaw's artistic endeavors

I was told we never saw an admiral's sleeves in TOS. But the actor for Admiral Fitzpatrick in "The Trouble with Tribbles" did a goof on his role in the "You're in good hands with Allstate" commercials for the blooper reel. As you can see, even for just a viewscreen cameo they too...

Re: 50x50=2500, 5 (pic heavy)

How big is the Colonial Movers? Those boxcars on it, are the Earth boxcar size? I think semi-truck trailers are shipped by train two to a flatcar. Those trailers are marked 53 feet long on their forward corner, that's 16m, 32m for a flatcar/boxcar, 64 for the two sets on the ship, and maybe twice th...

Something about the back view of the Gwazine puts me in mind of the Strategic Space Command. Declare it 1/500th and it falls between the Leif Ericson and its shuttle. A lander for the Mars Defence Force, because of its red color.

Re: 50x50=2500, 5 (pic heavy)

Further digging through the stash and Deep Stash: battlecraft.jpg starblazersonline.com appears to still exist, I don't know if they're taking orders; their Battlecraft Sets provide shuttles and fighters about 2500th compared to the fighters included in the Gamilon carrier kit. (I've painted three o...
