Re: 1/2700 Imperial Star Destroyer

The moon base alpha kit could be in the sacred scale?? :jawdrop: Older kits seem to list it as 1/3200 scale. On the Round 2 website it is listed as both 1/1800 and 1/2000. I don't know how they came up with their scale estimates. I've measured the new Eagle to be about 12 mm, or ~30m at 1/2500 scal...

Re: 1/2700 Imperial Star Destroyer

I was researching the Space 1999 Moonbase Alpha kit, which is essentially 2 kits in 1 -- the moonbase (scaling info varies from 1/1800 to 1/3200) and the Main Mission (~1/100 scale). I have both the older kit and the newer one (new decals, Eagles, landing pads, travel tubes, etc.). I used some refer...

With all these Enterprise B & Excelsior posts, I decided to get started on my Excelsior "un-refit": unrefit.jpg The left side shows the Enterprise B removed bits with the unchanged on the right. Removed the extra fins on the front/back top of the nacelle, the bulge from the secondary h...

I had some miscellaneous ships with no place to put them, so I came up with this idea to make something look like the main view screen and show notable space events with these ships coming out in "3d": screen.jpg This is currently a "work-in-progress", needing touch-ups and some ...

Re: IPSM Space Coast ModelFEST 2018

How many models were entered? I didn't count - maybe around 200 or so models were on display. Did you ever anything? If so, did you place? No, I did not enter. They hadn't judged the models before I had left. I put my vote for people's choice toward a sci-fi model (of course), a Star Wars bay with ...

Re: IPSM Space Coast ModelFEST 2018

Just got back. Here's what I picked up: Score.jpg I got the battleships Missouri and Arizona from Ernie Boyette for $15 a piece. I had these models when I was a kid and they represent bookend battleships from WWII. I got the Challenger Tank from Modelgeeks for my son for $15. I also collected a Romu...

Re: Gizmo Excelsior

Federation Models --> Model Kits --> Federation Models about a 1/4 to 1/3 of the page down is listed the Excelsior for $35. They're not always in stock, but right now it doesn't say that it's out of stock.
