Re: My Proto Warbird, in... I'm going to say, 2500 scale?

Nice, Jose! They did something similar in one of the Star Trek Comics, I think during the DC Comics run. It wasn't exactly the same, but it was close. I think they used a pair of D-7 secondary hulls?

Regardless, can't wait to see what you come up with for those nacelles!

Re: Ship classes, need some help

Go to Federation Models, on the left side of the page, select Model Kits, then click on PNT Models. Fourth entry down is the Federation-class conversion. I've got one of the first issues of this kit from roughly ten years ago and it's a great kit. They're listed as In Stock for $45.

Re: Ship classes, need some help

John Payne did an excellent job on reconciling the whole "dreadnought 'cause its got a third nacelle tacked on!" mindset with his Alexander -Class dreadnought . I liked it so much I scratchbashed one in 1/2500 scale, as well, and had custom decals made for it. I think I decided on Arminius...

Re: Ship classes, need some help

Yessir, it sure did. I still have a couple rolls of 35mm film, as well as two manual cameras from which to shoot them. :D

I also still have the model. I'll have to take a pic or three, as the above pics are at least 5 years old. Prolly older, even.

Re: Ship classes, need some help

Regarding "D", depending on how the pylons attach to the secondary hull. If attached to the secondary hull similar to the Refit: Federation Class Dreadnought. If attached to the secondary hull in a 'flat' pylon: Ascenscion Class Dreadnought. Can't really tell from this angle. It's the Fed...

Re: Ship classes, need some help

B = the Goliath was by, I believe, Christopher Woods. He goes by Woody on several forums, to include HobbyTalk. C = Surya -class frigate D = Federation -class dreadnought F = Coventry -class heavy frigate H = Hatfield -class command cruiser, also from Jackill's, IIRC. I = Shanks -class light cruiser...

If there's anyone from Ten-12 who hasn't joined AST yet, but lurks to see what's going on, please join up and say hello. There's more room at the table here, just grab a stool. :D
