New Resin-Modeller Website launching...

For everything Star Trek related, that isn't covered by the other forums.

So, it'll be about 127 feet. I'm going to get murdered on shipping.

Can't wait to see the new site.

Ah. I thought you meant the first design Rick Sternbach had for Voyager- the long sleek one with a pointy Prometheus style primary hull....
Image
Sternbach loved the design so much that he made this model to show producers- complete with little scale figures outside hatches because he knew they wanted a ship that could land- which this design can do without silly little feet extending from the secondary hull!

This is what I want!

Make this and you'll make real money- it's never been offered in any scale, it looks fantastic and it's SO much better than the clumsy football we ended up with!
I read somewhere that the design was scrapped because Berman had the idea for those dippy moving nacelles while stuck in traffic.

Funny story- Ravenstar once started this design but ended up making something different- but he'd mastered the nacelles in 1400th and gave me a set, which I turned sideways, cut the ends off and used in one of the designs that he remastered and sold as 2500th scale kits!
I can't recall what the heck we called the design though- it was vaguely a mix of all the FCC designs in one 300ush meter long badass boat.
His remaster turned out really great- far surpassing the original scratchbash!

If it's 2500th, sign me up!
I think new Trek designs from the movies and Discovery suck, but the Sternbach Voyager prototype really was amazing.

I need to stop joking on the internet. V'ger is 97 km long or thereabouts. That's about 127 feet at 2500 scale.

So, that thread in the Classified section is pretty much dead, yes?

THE NEW WEBSITE IS NOW ACTIVE!

Feel free to look about, have put Voyager and the Cardassian Dreadnought up too :) (Note if Voyager is ordered through AST it's £23.00 not £25.00 for a limited time :))

As for the 'parts' I'm gathering them up, most defects are binned but have been finding a few spread out, just a case of collecting them all up and seeing what's about really so for the moment it's in limbo till I get time to sort them out :)
