Price of the 1/1000 AMT Excelsior

For everything Star Trek related, that isn't covered by the other forums.

Price of the 1/1000 AMT Excelsior

Postby TonyG2 » Wed Jan 24, 2018 10:39 am

Just saw this listed at Hannants for £54.99 and thought, that can't be right.

Well looks like I was wrong. At least for UK sellers, the price on Ebay is hovering around the £52.00 mark, admittedly with free postage. Seriously? Over £50.00......

Sellers in the US are listing it at around £22 to £23 which seems a bit more reasonable until you see the postage. Most sellers are asking between £14.00 and £18.00 postage but one had his postage costs at £49.00 :o

Glad I kept my originals of the Excelsior and Ent B because at these prices, I'm not getting the re-releases

That's a bit better.

Even the US sellers - those with lower postal charges - seem an option now. I haven't done much 1/1000 Trek kits for a while and was sort of shocked at the prices. Checked HLJ and they have the Excelsior at an equivalent of £45.00 so I guess prices have jumped a bit generally......

I guess my days of impulse buying anything and everything are over :D

True, it's not that bad if you do a larger order then you get your monies worth.

Had great service from Tony from TH this week. Placed order, he notified me that one item was out of stock so asked if there was something else I wanted. I said about the DQ Keldon/Galor (check 1/2500 forum) and I will pay the extra as it was nearly double the price. He said no extra charge and even gave me a rebate on the delivery charge.
