Greetings!
FIVE years ago a little Trek site was formed. I can't remember when All Scale Trek.com was officially launched, but I'm going to be lazy and say September 8 (the date... I... er, joined)!
So... HAPPY BIRTHDAY and HAPPY 5 YEAR ANNIVERSARY to ALL SCALE TREK!!!
It feels like we have 'recycled' the community 3/4/5 times now, albeit with a few of the original members still around. Those that knew me (and how I ran things before RL took me away from this), rest assured that I am working on getting back, willing and able to give my all once again.
In the meantime I will see what can be done to get the right leadership and mojo back into the site.
To all fans of Trek and AllScaleTrek, (visitors, posters, donators and 'background crew'), a big, hearty 'thank you!' for helping us to keep this site going!
The fact that AST still seems to have that same chilled out, drama-free vibe 5 years on (without a long list of rules or mod policing, without flame wars, and all the intense hate and drama that seems to be more and more common), is really quite special. Something I take no credit for, but gladly give massive praise to the community for being so cool, kind, helpful, inspiring, and in general doing what you would do if you met fans at a convention, or your friends at a Friday get-together.
I have to remind myself every day that our 'species' is not beyond repair. That we still have potential and shouldn't be removed from this earth. Surrounding myself with toys and models, shows and movies, and talking to fans, is a much needed tonic from the (sur)real life chaos.
Stay safe, and thanks for being part of our family here!
Here's to the next 5 years! Cheers!!
(notices the lack of a non-seasonal 'toast' smilie).

Hooray for us. For once I think deserved.
It's been five YEARS? Does not feel like it.

And a well deserved hip-hip or five for Xen that started it and in spite of personal issues has stayed the course. Thank you Xen.
And thank you to the rest of the crew that have kept the beast ticking along. I for one appreciate the state of benign neglect that is moderation around here. The best thing you can do 90% of the time is nothing. Our moderators are good at that. Thank you Staff.
Last to my fellow modelers, without which the best built forum around is nothing. We have built this into a positive and helpful community that I hope will last for many more years indeed. Thank you my fellow modelers.
Now, back to building.

Hooray for AST!
5 Years though? Really???
Where has the time gone.
Well... they say it flies when you're having fun!
Thank you Xen for hanging in there and making this a great place for us to gather and share our love for this hobby.

Yes, definitely thank you Xen and mods for keeping this community going. Thank you for the posters who make this site a relaxed place to visit. After 4 years for me, stopping by is still a treat and my day feels weird if I don't look around to see what everyone is doing.

Re: AllScaleTrek.com 5th Anniversary
Thank you for the praise. I will accept it, albeit primarily as a collective, on behalf of those that have helped me over the years.
A little note regarding the haters that lurk and like be negative to me behind-the-scenes. I had to really force myself to start this thread, and then further still, at least try and have it come across with a positive tone. I meant every word of the 'niceness' and it comes from the heart.
RL is still having fun with me, which is why you didn't see a 4th Anniversary thread last year. After 5 years I really wanted to put that on hold and show my appreciation and respect to those that have helped us. Tesral said it best, but thanks again.
