Ships of the Line Calendar

For everything Star Trek related, that isn't covered by the other forums.

I got the calendar for Christmas. It is great. I put last years up at work and I'll do the same this year. It's nice to have something pretty to look at at work. I have the hard cover book too.

I've wasted about 7 kilobytes of Google's computer space posting a review of the 2016 Calendar:

https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic ... di-YZAKAk0

I listed every artist's name; I was going to ask if they were all winners of the design contest, but I forgot. Still I probably won't get an answer there, so I'll ask here. Nice work, but I hope it's not a cost saving move by CBS Studios to permanently drop Drexler, Probert, Richter, and the rest.

I just picked up my copy at the mall.

One can never underestimate how much money will be spent in an effort to 'maximise profits' by a large corporation.
There are Times, Sir, when men of good Conscience cannot blindly follow orders. You acknowledge their sentience, but ignore their personal liberties and freedoms. Order a man to hand over his child to the state? Not while I"m captain.

On Fb Drexler was enthusiastic about one of the entries. Makes you think one of these is at play:

- It was a mutual decision for Drexler not to be involved (or maybe he didn't want to work on it) so there are no hard feelings at all

- Drexler's good friends with the modeler and he was genuinely happy for that person

- Drexler's a good sport and know "it's just business"

- Drexler's a professional and is putting on a brave face even though he wasn't happy with the situation

- Drexler's not happy about it but figures it's not good for future business to scorch the Earth
