Now getting back to my hobbies!!!
I have been a Star Trek nut since the beginning.
I remember watching the show with my dad when I was but a tyke.
Move ahead 50....ahem....some odd years and here I am still building models.
I work as a CNC machinist/programmer. In 2004 I got into 3D printing, now I have several machines that I have built and I'm going crazy making Star Trek stuff.
Here is a shot of my latest project.
1/350 and 1/1000 Botany Bay

Welcome aboard, Tulsa!
This 1/350 BB is a scratch project I suppose! It's good to have a master machinist in the crew!

This particular Botany Bay 3D model was created by Thingiverse user "metaform3d".
I've printed a few in several different scales on my 3d printers.

Welcome, SciFiGuy65!
This is a great place to learn and to show off your work!
I'm in the same demographic as you AND I'm originally from Midwest City, OK. Also, I was stationed at Tinker AFB for over a decade so OK is home to me!
You have picked a really unique model to showcase your first build on AST! What are you plans for it? Lighting? Painting?
Aztecing?
Looking forward to seeing your work!
LLAP!
Steve
