Long time lurker, decided to join.

The usual blah, blah, blah... :)

50'S
Married
Grown kids
Now getting back to my hobbies!!! :lol:

I have been a Star Trek nut since the beginning.
I remember watching the show with my dad when I was but a tyke. :D

Move ahead 50....ahem....some odd years and here I am still building models.

I work as a CNC machinist/programmer. In 2004 I got into 3D printing, now I have several machines that I have built and I'm going crazy making Star Trek stuff.

Here is a shot of my latest project.

This particular Botany Bay 3D model was created by Thingiverse user "metaform3d".

I've printed a few in several different scales on my 3d printers.

This is a great place to learn and to show off your work!

I'm in the same demographic as you AND I'm originally from Midwest City, OK. Also, I was stationed at Tinker AFB for over a decade so OK is home to me!

You have picked a really unique model to showcase your first build on AST! What are you plans for it? Lighting? Painting?
