Baldly going again.

Post by Mot »

Hi to all, as you can probably guess I picked my Username to reflect my current folicle status.

I have been making models on and off for around 55 years. Aircraft when I was very young and as soon as I found Star Trek on TV I was hooked on spaceships. I made my first 1701 out of a Dairylea box for the saucer, a modified toilet tube for the Engineering hull and cut down Smarties tubes for the nacelles - and lots of sellotape and Uhu glue. It wasn't elegant, accurate or accomplished, but I flew it to many imaginary worlds - just like Kirk & crew.

It has been at least a decade since I last made anything and have only recently been reinfected with the 'maker bug' again. I am restarting a project I began almost 15 years ago and hope to pick up some new tips and techniques from others modellers on the Board.

My very best regards to you all, and...

See you out there.

Welcome. Hey some of those scrap builds were the ones we had the most fun with. I had a few myself.

Welcome .

Shouldn't that be " Baldy going where no one has gone before " ?

Maybe not .
