buying paint online?

Post by Steam235 » Sun Jan 05, 2014 8:25 pm

I love my LHS but they carry little bottles of tamiya acrylic. I learned that tamiya makes large bottles (3/4 oz rather than 1/3 oz)

I could really use some big bottles of simple colors like white, light grey and black.

does anyone know someplace I can order them online?

The only paint I use is Tamiya, and I've only seen the large bottles over seas when I was in Germany. The first time I bought my stateside stock from Mega Hobby, I thought I got ripped off when they arrived because they were the smaller bottles. If anyone has a source for the larger bottles, I'd also be happy.

Really nicely, I do think it took a bit of time, maybe two full weeks, but it was something like a third of the cost of my local shop. $2.69 for 3/4 oz vs $2.99 for 1/3 oz.

I stocked up on white, silver, grey, black, clear blue and clear red, the colors I spray on and I still buy small jars at the local store for detail work
