Off the shelf spray colour for TOS Enterprise

Post by Scarecrow » Mon Aug 11, 2014 2:43 pm

If I wanted to grab an off the shelf spray can for the general hull grey of my 1:600 Revell TOS Enterprise, what colour/finish/brand would folks recommend?
I'm based in the UK so brands/stores available in the UK would be preferred unless they are readily available for mail order online.
It doesn't need to be a perfect match for the show. To my mind, the Enterprise was always gleaming white, so spraying it light grey is kind of weird for me, anyway :D
I saw a Tamiya medium and dark Sea Grey that looked close. Maybe a bit dark, though. If they do a light sea grey, that might be a tighter fit. Suggestions?

All the best,

try looking in craft paints

a good one to look for is "Concrete" for a good grey color

for a white, try "eggshell" it's just off-white enough
