Sounds good to me! I have some import versions of soundtracks because they are far more complete than what we normally get in the US.

it is my understanding that,
this thread is asking "what do you listen to while you are making a model"
moreso hehe.

I think we'll be surprised the difference,
between the "displaying" music / after-it's-finished, and the "while you're building it" :lol:

being a borg :borg:
if you picture that scene from BttF:2, where Marty's Descendant has like 30 channels blaring, and music and all while
playing a videogame, that's about it hehe.
I listen to podcasts and How-To's, AGI-Readalong vocaloids of papers etc,
I listen to things in other languages (to maintain passive-acquisition, pronunciation/accent etc) <--- "regionalized"/"folk music" fits in this category somewhat.
but more often, I listen to
techno, electric etc <--- anagogic, neuromorphic, rheothixopectic-keyed, infini-midis etc
PowerMetal/Screamo <--- powerglove, powerman, Heidi & the Screamers, The Chisel, etc
and comedy music (Viktor Borge, Hard-n-Phirm RichardCheese & his band, WeirdAl, WilliamShatnerSings... Yodelahiho-har etc).
usually some combo of the above. usually a random-repeatFIFO.

PowerMetal is usually after an injury, or if I have to crank out a lot of stuff with repetitive task stuff.
Techno and Electric/synth music is more for "error checking" than solely repetitive task. I play a song orthogonal to the types of patterns I'm likely to encounter in the error-checking - it forces me to catch more errors by not matching the pattern of the task.
Do others play specific styles of song for the specific model-building task? I've often wondered about this.

Do you listen to your music via-person-specific soundsystem (headphones)
or, via the P.A. system or big speakers etc?
---- how do you handle multi-user workspaces, such as at the local Model Club, or at competitions where they have "build-offs" on the day?

See, to me, if it's a time-sensitive repetitive task, I need muh musak to be loud
it'll be power metal. No cussing (doesn't need to be cussing to be power-metal/screamo), just a lot of emotion.

My office/computer room/modeling area is equipped with a Bose speaker system, those little cubes and a subwolfer. And an actual component Stereo system. The other place I usually listen to music is the car and that has, well the car system with a 16 gig USB stick filled with my stuff in MP3 format. You can stuff a hell of a lot of music onto a 16 gig chip.
