Progress ongoing. I'd like to say, tentatively, that I've crossed the 50% mark.

The beginnings of what I'm referring to as the "collar," a series of vanes surrounding the joint between the neck and the arboretum. This piece is actually quite complicated.

Homestretchin', I hope. Hell, the fusion drive will probably be a month by itself.

As I've mentioned to you privately, love this work you're putting into it! So, MEATLOAFr's not the only one who's still watching! Keep up the excellent work!

Oh, Hell's yeah! I'd love to have some in 1/1000 scale!

Both are great scales. With Warpnein building this model as he is, there is a potential for it to be built in SEVERAL scales. Personally, I'd love to see the Proteus and Jupiter 2 from the LiS Movie printed in 1/1000 scale, as well as the Jupiter's from the new LiS series printed in the same scale.

You can also have them in 1/350, 1/537, 1/100, 1/2500, etc....

We can - potentially - have one in All The Scales!

I did find a relatively accurate 3d of the movie Jupiter 2 which scales to 267 feet, pretty close to my own estimate. Once my model is complete I'm going to double check my scaling. I'm assuming the J2 moves at a constant speed, but it might not be a sound assumption. Once both models are in the same scene I can recreate angles from the film for a more accurate comparison. I'm hoping for a 2500-scale print that doesn't break the bank. With all this detail it demands to be in FUD or whatever Shapeways calls it now. If my original figure is correct the model would be 63 inches long and painfully expensive. I'd like to avoid that.
