ave prof hawking

Truly some sad news;
It appears, Prof Emeritus of the Lucasian Chair, Stephen Hawking,
has passed aged 76.
Ave, Prof Hawking! :borg:

2 years to live, they said.
55 years later, called it a day, and what an innings!

His many great lectures, books etc (often team-up with Leonard Mlodinow)
such as "A Brief History of Time", "The Grand Design", "How To Communicate Science To A General Audience, A Primer" (informal 'manual', which is awesome)
or, the lecture "Philosophy is Dead", etc,
are well known, almost as much as his distinctive voice and sense of humor.

Perhaps what I will remember most,
is the letters between Prof Hawking and Prof Bartlett,
talking of futures-modelling etc.
Prof Hawking made some interesting reflections on the trickiness of modelling innovation,
and both made some arguments of EMERGY.

What Prof Hawking moments do you recall?

He will remain among the Giants of the 20th century. The thinker that advanced science as we know it.

"I saw it done on Voyager" is no excuse for anything, even breathing.
