Klingon Bird of Prey (semi-accurized) INCOMPLETE

Post by JMar »

My entry will be the Klingon bird of Prey. The kit will be lit, the wings will be articulated and I'll be doing some additional accurizing.

Very nice. How are you planning on the articulation?

The first thing I started with is the Don's Light and Magic wing hinge kit.

Wow.
There are Times, Sir, when men of good Conscience cannot blindly follow orders. You acknowledge their sentience, but ignore their personal liberties and freedoms. Order a man to hand over his child to the state? Not while I"m captain.

DLM has really improved this hinge kit going the laser cut route rather than cast resin.
I'm considering getting one of these kits myself for my contest build.
May the best KBOP win!

Off topic a bit. Are these "humps" the warp nacelles for BOPs?

According to the Haynes manual, it's actually the 'feather' features on the wings.

The Hull also had to be Modified
The old wing mounting point needs to be completely removed

How in the world did you cut that out? I am a newbie still in that respect and would be terrified to do such a thing.
