Ok, so I completely see why this makes sense. Its dark and stealthy - very 31.
Unfortunately since this ship and everything I've been doing lately is meant for an animation that I've been working on that is set within the bounds established by whats referred to as the 'Destiny timeline' that Pocket Books has been running with for the last decade or so it means that Section 31 is more than likely a shadow of its former self.
Without going into too much spoiler for anyone who wants to read the recent S31 novels - I'm pretty sure that by the end of the 24th century S31 will be mostly dismantled. That's just extrapolating from the last 2 books in the series but I think it'll be a safe bet that something serious happens to 31 in the next book apparently named 'Control'.
So whilst some of the same ideas have gone into this ship, its most certainly not 31.
Within the fiction I've established its built as a prototype by a group of Federation citizens who go by the name 'Overwatch'.

Definitely!

Why does it need dual warp cores? That's not a criticism, I'm just curious.

One in case the first dies? Extra power for whatever systems require it? Warp drives after all aren't just for generating warp fields they're also for energy generation.
Also because I wanted 2.

I didn't know that. I thought it was just a glorified battery for the "engine". :)

Warp Drives - By Allegory

"I saw it done on Voyager" is no excuse for anything, even breathing.

I think I get pretty good at 3D drawing and then I see stuff like this, highlighting what a N00b I am. Great stuff, Serin! The interiors are coming along nicely, with impressive detail on the warp drives.

"Don't cross the streams"
- Ghostbusters mantra

"Don't listen to the ring"
- Lord of the Rings mantra

"Don't be seduced by the Dark Side"
- Star Wars mantra

"Don't change the past"
- Back to the Future mantra

"Please don't cross the Uber-Line."
- Trek aficionado mantra

If its any consolation - I still look at Mark Rademaker's work and think myself a total and complete noob.
And thanks! Actually that reminds me... need to make some dilithium crystal chambers. Any excuse to model crystals.
