Yeah, those funny nubs, on the angled section, where the hull transitions from the saucer to rear (engineering?) section. There's another one, up on the roll bar. They look, to me, like the flow censors, around the refit Ent's deflector dish.el gato wrote:¿? I really had not noticed those nubs... y'all study fictional ships too much

Re: Inverted Miranda
Maybe it is. Since no one never bothered to write a technical manual for the Reliant till now and there are some mysterious elements in its hull we are free to imagine anything. I have seen speculations about this subject in several forums just there is not a consensus.MEATLOAFr wrote:I always thought the things on the lower rear hull was the nav deflectors

But can we all agree that Federation ships shouldn't have the nacelles beneath the saucer?

I think, as long as they're above the engineering hull, it's okay.el gato wrote:But can we all agree that Federation ships shouldn't have the nacelles beneath the saucer?

Looking at the Federation Class....el gato wrote:But can we all agree that Federation ships shouldn't have the nacelles beneath the saucer?
Scout class...
Hmmmmmm, nope.
There are Times, Sir, when men of good Conscience cannot blindly follow orders. You acknowledge their sentience, but ignore their personal liberties and freedoms. Order a man to hand over his child to the state? Not while I"m captain.

Re: Inverted Miranda
that's Hermes Class , not scout class.
scout is the type of ship-it's mission profile.
as for nacelles beneath the primary hull....I do not have a problem with it.

Re: Inverted Miranda
For me is irrelevant the position of the nacelles above or below the saucer, if the design is good, I'm OK with that. I like a lot of the Miranda and Akira designs, and they both have nacelles below the saucer, so, np for me...

Agreed - as long as i looks good (and is a plausible design) I don't care where the nacelles are located - or how many there areshiftdel wrote:For me is irrelevant the position of the nacelles above or below the saucer, if the design is good, I'm OK with that.
