Oberth Cutaway
Ran accross this little gem, looks pretty good to me so I figured I'd share

That turbolift looks barely tall enough for one person to stand up comfortably in. Perhaps there's a height restriction for serving on these ships.

OK, not I can see it. Apparently my laptop was the one with issues....
Can someone check the scale? Those people look awfully small relative to the ship. My understanding was that the bridge was actually sunken into the first deck, that's why the dome is relatively flat. This poster makes it look like the dome encompassed the entire bridge. And there's no way you can fit a turbolift into those pylons, not at the size the ship was supposed to be and not with those spindly pylons (according to the ILM size chart, an Oberth is supposed to be 120 m long). This poster gets away with it because it upsizes it, with a length of 148.77 m.

If we're honest, those extra 28.77 metres really wouldn't make a difference. Like you said, there's absolutely no way turbolifts, their shafts, and their mechanisms could fit in those nacelle pylons.el gato wrote:This poster gets away with it because it upsizes it, with a length of 148.77 m.
The Oberth-class was a poorly thought-out idea from start to finish.

True. Those additional meters don't mean much, not to the size they're depicting here.
