Romulan Bird of Prey

Okay guys, this is my entry for the group build. I snagged a Romulan bop in collector's tin recently off of eBay for next to nothing. It's an odd thing, clearly inaccurate, especially when compared to the recent 1/1000 kit.

I'm going to light it, which means opening up the very few marked windows and working out where the rest should be. The nacelles will be lit as well. I've very recently picked up a few arduino boards so who knows, I might add some lighting effects, possibly a torpedo firing?

One thing's for sure, I need to find a way to mount the model so as much of the bop decal is as visible as possible.

Looking forward to seeing everyone else's work over the coming months.

Oooh, I love the Romulan BoP. You could mount it from the back like the 1/1000 kit has done it.

Nice project !

Careful with the decals though, the Big Bird doesn't really lined up well. I would recommend the decal sheet from Jt-graphics instead...

And don't forget to post a pic with a proof of date...

Any updates? Seen some of your previous work and was wondering how you'd do on this one.
