Polar Lights 1/1000 TOS Enterprise "Pre-deco" Preview

I loved this little kit except for 3 issues... the "nub" at the very front of the primary hull (pictured already in another post), the across the top of the secondary hull seams for the warp pylons (the regular 1/1000 kit has this too but if you're painting its fairly easy to hide) and the swivel stand, I found it way too loose for my liking.

As I said, I think its a great kit especially for beginners (I suspect the target audience) and results in a darn nice version of the ship. The painted details are very nicely done. The seams for the most part disappear with a bit of muscle, and where they are stubborn the tiniest drop of CA will fix it.

If you're in the market for a nice quick build and NOT into all the painting and super-detailing of a full build - this is the kit for you. Definitely something to get a young trek fan that has any interest in getting their feet wet modeling, it will be a nice quick success that should spur more interest .
