Looking good Griffworks! I always love the part where you start the detail painting and they really start looking like a Starfleet ship should.

Thanks, fellas! I appreciate it. Yes, dJiPi - that would be great if she were to be re-released in 1/2500 scale for those folks who build in it.
More pics to follow shortly!

Re: USS Sasser, NCC-6312 - Indomitable-class Heavy Cruiser *PIC HEAVY*
My apologies for getting sidetracked and not updating before today. For being Retired, I sure seem to stay busy lately!
I've gotten some work done the last two days. As I think I mentioned before, I'm also working on several other StarFleet ships while painting Sasser. Because of that, it's slow going....
Beauty shot.
Dorsal view. You can't see it very well at all, but I painted the interior area of the VIP Lounge light blue.
Portside view.
Ventral view.
More to come at some point. She still needs a lot of touching up, as I keep finding issues from the masking tape not being burnished down right before painting or it came up and/or I failed to do a very good job making sure I had the everything lined up for masking. I've got to get back to work on some UGH! Models master parts tomorrow, as I've taken three days off working on them to work on my own stuff.
No Bueno!

Thanks, and not yet, no. I'll have to follow up and see if they've been printed yet. Jim was waiting on his white toner to arrive, which it did last Thursday, I think it was.

Decals are on the way! Should see them in about 10 to 12 days, given the standard shipping from Canada to the U.S.

Sasser will have some siblings in the not-too-distant future....
Ricky came thru on the changes I had asked him to do. There's now a stand alone tab and slots in each secondary hull hull half for that tab to fit in. There's also a tab for the primary hull to seat to the "neck" for better alignment.
The fit on the hull half tab and slots is great, tho the one for the primary hull isn't, as it's a bit too wide. Some minor sanding will be required to get the tab to fit inside the primary hull slot.
Raw parts, no sanding has been done to any of these.
Very nice alignment here.
Closeup of how Ricky designed the tab/slot arrangement.
Gonna be a lot of fun with these, eventually!

It is called a mortise and tenon. The only thing it lacks is the tiny ABS pegs to hammer in to hold it together.
