Finished: Starcrafts 1/1400 Scale Steamrunner Class USS Cavor NCC-52133
Hi!
It's a long way to go, but I started my next (or even next next ) project. Just an another First Contact/ DS9 ship in loverly scale. Will name it USS Cavor. Something different, you know. Now I did some first modifications on the resin saucer: added AMT Enterprise E 1400 scale rear windows and two sensor pads from 1400 scale Voyager. That looks much better. For this job I killed some very bad builded Voyagers..got them from ebay.
Greeting,
Michael

Nice!
The Steamrunner is the last of the "Class of 96" kits I need to re-purchase since my model purge from a decade ago. It's such a uniquely weird ship, innit??

I did the same thing Nova. I got rid of almost all my models (about the same time too), dropped off the forums and found another hobby.novahobbies wrote:Nice!

I have got all of them back now except for a couple of the rare ones (like the 1:1400 Ferengi Marauder from macrotrek). Now I just have to get building a bit quicker!

Hey,
So, I'm still painting and painting and painting. And sanding. Removed the escape pod high dots. Actually I'm more interested on the Cavor. For this different grey colors were applied on the ship. And here is the current status of painting progress.
Greeting,
Michael

Hey,
I do my very best Last two-tree evenings I get very good results. Only some clean up jobs on the lower site and phasers should be painted. Also I'll add 16 life boats, as seen on the CGI model around two main phaser strips.
Greeting,
Michael

Hello!
Just another little upgrade: the phaser banks were painted now in my typical Revell dark grey SM379. With this, the main hull is done to 80 %. Rest will follow soon.
Greeting,
Michael

I have an unreasonable soft spot for the Flying Brick. Good job so far.

I’m with you, Nova. It’s like the cute band geek to the Akira class’ homecoming queen: not as popular but still has its charms!
