It's done and dusted. Final gloss coat is on, windows are painted, and it's a-glowing.

The tiny lights in the corners aren't as strong as I'd hoped, but they do light up the painting fairly well. Meanwhile, the blue glow in the support rods does a nice job illuminating the bottom of the ship and making the blue ring pop out. More to come...

Museum Quality!

There are Times, Sir, when men of good Conscience cannot blindly follow orders. You acknowledge their sentience, but ignore their personal liberties and freedoms. Order a man to hand over his child to the state? Not while I"m captain.

And, last but not least....

That's it. I may photoshop one or two of these into a scene, in which case I'll share here, but less that happens....this project is wrapped. Post-build report is positive. It was an easy kit to assemble, not a lot to clean up with, and basic painting was easy. The challenges could be found in getting a realistic painted "glow" on the warp ring, and I personally had a bleeding hard time with the decals until I ordered a second set. My decal problems were 90% applicator error, though, because I occasionally turn into a mentally challenged ape with two left hands when it comes to decals. All in all, I had a really fun time bringing this kit to life. I hope you enjoy the photos!

Came back here to retrieve a photo. And now I remember how much I hate, with the seething ire of a fire drake, what the asshats at photobucket did. Gods I hope they get a class action lawsuit handed to them.
