He, everyone!
One of my next projects is the future Enterprise D from "All good things" with a Starcraft conversion kit.
First of all I have a question: is it possible to build the ship still separable? Then a second question: where can I get 2 replacement parts? From Starcraft directly?
I'm thinking to name the ship USS Galaxy and actually not shure about the decals, I mean the starfleet symbols: 'cause it's in the future so they should be fron DS9/Voyager: yellow arrows...but maybe bigger, than on the 1701-E..like from the Defiant 1/420 kit?
Greeting,
Michael

I've got it also, and yes the saucer separation can still happen. The only thing crossing the separation line is the Borgbuster cannon, and that comes to you in two parts. As for replacement parts, just email Starcrafts directly. Stp1701@att.net iirc.

Hi!
Ok, that's nice with the separation.
On my kit one of two upper small canons (left and right site) around the main bridge is broken and I habe the broken bar not in my box. I'll make some pictures later today...
Greeting,
Michael

Re: Progress: Future Enterprise D AMT/ERTL/Starcrafts in 1/1400 Scale
Hi!
So at first, I changed the topic. The reason is because I started the building of this beauty bird two day ago. And so far I have some questions.
1. Not sure which model base should it be: a classic TNG communicator base or because it's a future ship a new one from 1701-E. And if the last one: with a metal rod (from AMT-613) or with a genuine TNG upper part... So here I need your help: can someone tell me, what changed AMT on new release from 1701-D in clear from 2016 on AMT-955 kit? Are there some new "rod holder parts inside of the battle section? Do You have maybe a instruction pic for me?
2. On some genuine studio pics from All Good Things episode you can "imagine" some additional escape boots on the 1701-D.. are that they really? See some pics below for details..
3. The studio model has so many many red and yellow long marker lines...not really happy with them...
But at all, this is the beginning of the USS Galaxy NC-70637.
Aditionally there is a pic of 2 broken parts in my resin kit. Have to order it... And last but not least there are pics of my progress too. You can see some holes on a backbone: I screw always big resin parts together aditionally to super glue.
Next steps are: filling all gaps between plastic and resin, sub assembly painting and build all together..haha in ~3-5 mounts
Greeting,
Michael

Re: Progress: Future Enterprise D AMT/ERTL/Starcrafts in 1/1400 Scale
score! this'll be a great build to watch,
as that's one of my favorite classes of ship to play on ST:O,
or bridge commander (when not
that is hehe)
it's a really iconic ship hehe
will the phaser cannon be light-up? that will be really interesting to see
as you can get tri-tone acrylic filament now, it'd look great as 'firing' or as static.
thanks for sharing Michael

Hi!
No, there is no lighting is planed on this molde. Only painting and fillig of all windows with night color.
So these days I workt again on this kit: glue, fill and grid everything. Also I removed the seconday deflector. I'll add this part after a little adaption on the mega phaser later. The captains yacht is unuseble after this upgrade, so I filled the gap too. Additionally the battle section cobra head will become 2 more phaser strips on the bottom side. For this I destroyed an old bottom battle section part. Have also 4 more short phasers for upcoming upgrades... The 3rd nacelle is planed to be a hybrid of upper resin cover part and 4 lover plastic pars (3 of them are clear). Thaat's for better and easier glue work. For this the lower engine part was cutted planar on the to the ship connection site.
Here are actual pics now. Next I'll start with painting. Also still have to order the broken parts and decals...oh man...

Hi!
It goes on. I sparyed all big parts in Revell 374 for fast and good results. The rest comes with a brush. Like yesterday: many small things were painted. I'm glad, actually I can work every evening on this ship 1-3 hours.
Greeting,
Michael

Hello again!
no, I'n not away. But with my new job and moving every weekend over 700 Km there is no time for modelling. But I'm still on my project with the Future-D. Here're some results over Christmas holidays.
Actually I'm lookinf for an genuine AMT Defiant decal sheet from 1996 (SS 7/96 on the rear site). I'll use all new starfleet insignia onmy final model. This will be the facelift of the USS Galaxy NX-70637.
To be contiuned...
