For years I'd been staring at a Revell Voyager on my shelf that wasn't mine. I had purchased a bundle of kits, and the seller was kind enough to toss in the Voyager for free. He did a good job, but it wasn't "mine". So, finally, I pulled the trigger on the Alliance Models kit, and, as of this passed weekend, I completed her. The Alliance kit lets you create hinges for the warp nacelles so they can be in cruise or warp position. After some messing around with brass tubing, I got one that works completely on friction. I need to cap it eventually, but for now, this works for me. I also included a 1400 scale Delta Flyer and Speedboat Shuttle, because why not?
Decals by JT Graphics are pretty awesome. TONS of details!
I used primarly Vallejo Air paints. Light Gull Grey for the base, Medium Sea Blue for the paneling, and a few mixes here and there for the more subtle paneling work (which unfortunately doesn't read all that well in these pics).
And here it is compared to the Revell Voyager.

wowsers!
this looks freakin' awesome.
as a STVoy fan from way back, thanks for sharing this
the lighter highlighting approach makes this look closer to "as seen on screen"
especially under fluro lighting conditions.
the vallejo 'luftwaffe light blue' is reminiscent of that sickbay color scheme,
that is a nice touch
seeing the Cochrane and the Delta-Flyer (to correct scale too)
is the icing on this cake.
Can we please have some more eyecandy;
of the bussards, and of the main-deflector? I like the deflector edging, it is awesome here.
and, I'd like to see more of the blending in the bussard here.

Hi!
Very very good ship!
Can You tell me: is Revell Voyager bigger/longer?
Greeting,
Michael

Very nice indeed! Yes, I'm interested on wether there are any differences in length between the two of them.

She turned out great! I wish someone would make an Intrepid-class in 1/1000 scale!
