What? These?
Yeah I bought a whole bunch of the closest version I could find and tried converting some a while back, I didn’t do very well so I ended up getting a whole bunch of the Cheyenne class engines from starcrafts (I’ve had them locked away for about three years now) and I’m finally doing these models as I was so inspired by the Niagara Challenger and freedom classes that came out as well as the Melbourne modifications that Paul01 put out Last year.
Here’s some further progress on the USS Röntgen:

Another couple of shots while I wait for the decals to dry for the Röntgen,
And of course here’s what inspired the”Frankenfleet” in the first place:
Tomorrow I start work on the Betty and the Macross...and I’ve got an Ambassador on the way too... then I’ll probanly need a soviergn and half a dozen others...- Gidiot

Ok, the Röntgen is done, but needs to be sealed up, so instead of going on to the Betty, or the Macross, I decided to finish the Regula style station “Majeztic 19”.
I’ll get back to the other ships in a few days, I need a break!

Ok the Röntgen IS DONE! I’ve even officially started on the Macross and Betty, and my as of yet unnamed Ambassador class ship... I’ve also got a 1/1400 Northampton (USS Freed) and a modified Akayzi (USS Perkins) on the way!

I started work on the USS (Matt) GROENING... and I have moved into trying an airbrush... had some leaks around the masking but for my first attempt I’m not too upset... I’ll go back and clean it up with some touch up stuff tomorrow...

Quick update. I think I killed the airbrush. Well it was my first one so, live and learn...
But the Groening is coming along...
Also got some kick ass 1/1400 kits from CrazyEddies that I’m adding to the collection!!!

U.S.S. Groening in the final stages of construction. Captain H. Simpson, Cmdr N. Flanders will take her out for her trial runs here fairly soon...
She still needs her decals and ventral phaser, but again considering I’ve never done any airbrushing before, I’m quite happy.

Looks great, I am liking the extra shuttlebay and the deflector dish.
There is no dark side of the moon really, matter of fact its all dark.
