Back at it!
Argh.....that deflector dish...

I was going to use slow drying epoxy to level out the sink marks, but thought that it might not be viscous enough to level off before it set. Instead I tried some future and planned on building it up in stages. It still isnt quite done, might need to re-sand and reapply. Any suggestions here would help, working with clear parts is new ground for me!

While that mess was drying, I did some test fitting of the pylons to the secondary hull with the alternate tail end.

The instructions have you cut the secondary hull just aft of the "bulkhead". This worked great to get a consistant taper on the width, but the height was about 1mm short so I had to shimm it with stock.

It's amazing how, even when trying to do an OOB, you still have to modify the model to get it to look good.

That’s because it is like that on the studio model.

Andyh- Ahh! I saw the seam where they joined the new bottom, but must have missed a different height! Oh well...wasnt going for totally studio accurate anyway I guess. At least now I have a good reason to fill that obnoxious seam though!

That’s because it is like that on the studio model.

While it would be studio-model accurate to have the height short in that manner, from a design standpoint I'd argue it's better to do what Dingbat did
