AMT 1/2500 TOS Enterprise w/ lights

Post by indianatheshepherd » Mon Dec 31, 2012 9:17 am

Work-in-progress, nearly done, waiting for gloss coat to dry overnight, then decals tomorrow along with a few more windows in the dish and all the windows in the primary hull. Very difficult working on such a tiny model.

Yes. Very nice indeed. It's quite amazing, considering how small that ship is. I was scrolling through the pics you have on your blog. You should add more here for instant eye candy. :)

I agree, very nice indeed. I just got the cadet ship set for these and I would of never thought you could light something so small. Well I know now that is just no so. I am very impressed by your lighted original Enterprise. 8-)

Here's a long overdue update with the decals applied.

I'll be adding more windows once the dull coat is dry.

Every time I see a lit model I want to do one myself. I really like the way the lower sensor dome is dim. It wouldn't look right if it was bright, and I think you nailed it. ;)

The first pic in the update post reminds me of the first shot of the Enterprise in "Trials and Trobble-ations". That looks amazing. I tried lighting a small Enterprise years back, one of those from The Enterprise Indicent scene things. It didn't go well so I'm very jealous! ;)
