The Skyhook Negh Var is a great kit but needs a ton of super- detailing to be accurate to the studio model.
Personally, I prefer the bridge with the kit to the studio model version....but you should invest in a few select Space Battleship Yamato meha kits to use their great disruptor turrets to add the missing weapons.

Jason, you built a super accuratw NeghVar, right? I'd love to pick your brain about what you did

Nope! I built the Skyhook version and when the Christie's auction gave us great studio model pics, I gathered a TON of reference and all the parts I'd need and scratchbuilt as new bridge and....
It's in a box.

I can however, find links to what needs adding- mostly the two BIG and two small disruptor turrets (big ones going in the recessed circles in the wings, just inside the bussard coollectors.
The main disruptor on the Negh Var is unlike the AGT ship- it's a series of rectangular boxes.

Oh! The deflector is different too- it's got an armored vent thingie to it and it's not lit!

There's a ton of grey details too- they break up the red blocks.

Here's how the bridge, main dish and main deflector should look-
Image
The bridge is about two decks taller that the kit's with a triangular bit up front and a shallow dome. It also has four yellow disruptor strips!

EAS has good pics, but if you just search "NeghVar studio model" you'll see the dozen or so super high res pics of this beastie of a battleship!

From the side here, you can see the smaller disruptor turrets under the bridge complex (one per side) and the odd boxy part under the "chin" that the kit lacks.
Image

Also, the model looks to have had a thin oil wash of red paint applied- you can see it in the recessed areas and vents.

Here you can see how the boxy main disruptor flattens into a tuning fork shape at the Tip-

Oh! You can also see the disruptor turrets under the bridge complex- each has two barrels.

Thanks for all of the refeeence & research on this. I have a mold of the Spaceship set Enterprise bridge/B/C decks that works fairly well as the NeghVar bridge if anyone needs a copy

small update.

Northtrek Sparta class has had a few decals added.
First off is the shuttlebay doors. Also you can see some transporter grills.

Secondly is the Impulse engine and detailing to the ventral stern.

Lastly is the bow RCS thrusters and transporter grills.

I have had to start using watered down PVA glue as the decals have not been adhering very well.

Sweet- I want to see more builds!
I bet yours will be great....and great inspiration.

One of the tweaksi think I'll make is to those X-shaped parts...looks too much like Wolverine would be in command.
Maybe put impulse crystals in there? I always liked that glowing blue part of the Refit.
