Seriously, it's amazing, non-toxic and doesn't hurt anything.

I use fun tac the same way. It is meant for mounting posters to walls. It also more or less keeps the cats from knocking things over. General Grevious notwithstanding.

I suppose if you have enough of it. I've never tried it myself.

That's like the lint roller I use to get my clothes (maybe) clean of cat hair.
I tried rolling it on to the cats themselves but they just lean into it.

Anyway, I need to order some more museum wax for my 1:2256 SW builds. Really hot a fleet going!

Here's some work in progress (top ones finished, bottom ones needing more work) of the bases/badges/artwork:

trek3159 wrote:Wow, would love to get a copy of about six of those to use to make bases out of....look really nice! I got some off of ebay last year to make bases out of but haven't figured out how to deepen them enough to hold anything. They are about 1/8 inch thick.

The four on the left are about 1/8 inch thick and come included with analogous Star Trek figures. Since they are plastic and hollow, they are pretty lightweight. The 2 on the top right are 3/8 inch thick and are more substantial. The rest are fairly thin (1/4 or less). They may be able to be thickened and casted.

Alternatively, you may also want to look into these:

These are 1, 2 & 3 inch bases from the old DQ. The smallest ones are about 1/4 inch thick and the largest are 3/8, so they are pretty solid and heavy. I'm guessing he may still have a few left over.

No, he doesn't have any left over. However, he had them made by Matt at LaserFire Creations, so you could ask him for a quote on a bunch. http://www.laserfirecreations.com

With all these Enterprise B & Excelsior posts, I decided to get started on my Excelsior "un-refit":
unrefit.jpg

The left side shows the Enterprise B removed bits with the unchanged on the right. Removed the extra fins on the front/back top of the nacelle, the bulge from the secondary hull and the extra bits on the top/bottom of the saucer.

I plan on doing that but backfilling the to-be-removed bits with Aves. That way the area is already "reinforced" when I cut & sand them off
