In the background are some in-progress picks of some of the tiny guys. FYI - I have too many Federation runabouts for their "official" decals, so I'm trying to use some of the extras from the other shuttles/runabouts to make up for the shortfall. Hoping to post these soon on another thread.

PS - Even though not a sci-fi subject, I just had to get the US Navy's most legendary ship - it was only $6 at Shapeways, looks nice with the Enterprise lineage and it serves as a real-life comparison to these fantasy ships!

I have a few of those myself, for much the same reason. The USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72) under the Galaxy class, a Baltimore class heavy cruiser under the TOS and Refit and the IJNS Kongo battleship under the Ambassador class USS Kongo.

They are painted copper with fluorescent green. There is also fluorescent yellow and fluorescent orange for the heat ray emitter. A TOS Enterprise deflector dish and nacelle rear was put in the picture for scaling reference.

Wow slawton, that's an awesome job on the painting of the War Machines, just perfect. I've been messing with the Jeff Wayne version too and scaled to 100ft in height we get.

Marc, that looks nice - creepy with an insect vibe.

11. Current Day Nimitz

Here's the finished Nimitz class carrier (approximately the size of the nuclear-power Enterprise carrier) from different angles:

PS - Not a highly detailed/accurate model, but serves as another real-life counterpart for our sci-fi ships.

I nave a Nimtiz from Micronauts 1/2400 scale so it is slightly off, but one hell of a detailed model. The individual Tomahawk mounts have to be glued on.

12-28. "Battlestar Galactica" (TOS) Cylon Raiders

Here's a picture of Cylon Supreme Star Force:
Cylons.jpg

They are painted gray (1 is the mysterious "gold" Cylon) with touch-ups of black Sharpie, Deck Blue, white and some wash.

Enemy approaching, thirty microns and closing...

Very cool. You could almost certainly make a decal for those cylons.

We told you not to sleep with that Orion girl.
Really, you brought this on yourself.
