29-40. "Battlestar Galactica" (TOS) Colonial Vipers

Here's a picture of our Colonial Warriors to the rescue:

They are painted gray with touch-ups of black, red & silver Sharpie and white paint -- NOTE: they are real tiny, a dozen in formation easily fitting within 1 square inch!

Launch all vipers to intercept!

They would go sub-atomic into the Quantum Realm where physics and reality no longer matter and start slipping through the cracks in space/time, never to be seen again.

I was placing them for the photo with a paintbrush when it did a full 360 spin knocking a viper onto the carpet. Miraculously, I was able to find it!

I've decided to shuffle things around a bit -- Battlestar Galactica stuff will be pushed to some future thread and Real/Space & Classic Sci-Fi will be brought back into this one. To reflect the updated changes:

Moved from another thread...

12-15. Classic Sci-Fi

Here's a picture of the 50's era Cosmostrator, C-57D, Polaris & Space Ark:

They are painted either aluminum or steel (apparently the only color rockets/saucers/spaceships came in "back in the day")!

Cue the theremin for the sci-fi-y ethereal/eerie music!

Try this- when painting 1:2256th scale Star Wars fighters, I first glue them onto black Beading Stems.
Those are found in any crafts store and are 1-3" long straight pins painted black.
The flat heads are a perfect mounting point for tiny subjects.

Ooh, great tip. Thanks!

I have a sizable number of Tholians, some as tiny 15m (only 6mm long!) and others as larger 25m (a whopping 1cm):

I'm thinking of keeping the "official" sized 15m as the true ships seen in "The Tholian Web" and modifying the others into some variant classes (we never really got enough of those crystalline critters), like:

Still a little unsure of the paint scheme I'd like to use (boring original TOS gray or more fiery or mineral-like versions)...
