I have yet to have one finish itself ... I have to do it.

Now, if they did finish themselves I would call them possessed. (It put its own decals on...freaky.)

Not possessed. Just self motivated

Half the wing detail is painted with Reaper "Lemon Yellow". I wounder if that is dark enough to give the desired results. Well nothing to do but try.

That's why I spay paint or airbush on metalics.
Regular paint brushes never work out well for metalics, ya either end up with bloches or brush marks, or they become kinga dull lookin.

And Yea, the look you are going for is awesome Tesral!
Laterz...

Right now I'm under attack by the Sinusians. I think they are winning.

Saturday Update: I am coughing my Fagin ice hole head off. My riblets hurt and I'm feeling lower than a grasshopper's kneecaps. It looks like an allergy attack not a cold. So I get over it in three days instead of seven with all the misery compressed.

While I contemplate the paint on the Kongo I screwed up my courage and went back to the Burd. Make no mistake this kind of work is a high anxiety issue with me.

The yellow undercoat is done. Now, once that dries we get to see if Tamiya gold is any better.

So in a rather unstable clamping position. Dorsal

Head shot, the cruel camera shows me covering the gold I had done.

And ventral. The last of the feathers.

The pattern looks like it will be great when finished. Ihad the same problem you have with your gold but mine was copper. I ended up mixing the two which did the trick.
There is no dark side of the moon really, matter of fact its all dark.
