That is my new favorite fed color.

It is a nice shade of white, especially since these ships are suppposed to be more white than grey

10 parts XF2 1 part XF55. they do not make Insignia white in a bottle. The mix is a perfect match.

Hey, thanks! That's good to know

Some small detailing tonight.
Impulse engine, deflector dish and sensor ports on the front of the saucer.
I will presume they are sensor ports anyway. I can find no reference to these in anything I can find. I can see other features marked out on the Phase 3 but these ports are not labelled. They may even be torpedo ports but with no evidence to confirm or deny such I will go the route of exploratory.
Ha, now I have typed that I have remembered that this is a strike cruiser and torpedo ports would be more apt for this vessel.

Notice on the bottom of the saucer I have lightened the indented areas. I did this to cover up a bare patch on the two fore most parts of these where I didn't quite cover with the Tamiya Insignia white. The indents are now shaded with Vallejo Insignia white. Quite a difference for the same colour.

I have also painted the surround of the Impulse engine in stark black but may change this to very dark grey as it does look too severe. Pictures will have to come for that as I have now run out of time tonight.

They echo the three circles on the front of the E-0 that are accepted as sensors.

Decals. Del, I love your decal sheets.
These are a breeze to work with.
I got the ventral saucer 'spine' on first so it was dry enough tonight for me to pierce for the stand hole.
Dorsal saucer is complete even with registry. I went with Metacomet as that had a better sound of a ship to me.

Thanks
Thats just the top saucer done. Feeling under the weather tonight so I am having the night off.
Tomorrow I will do the bottom of the saucer and start on the nacelles. I cannot reiterate that Del's decals are just so good to work with. Ok I am taking my time to cut round every piece but I am still getting fantastic results with them.
