This hobby should be called scale sanding. It describes 70% of what we do

Any movement on this? It's one of my favorite ideas for updating the Intrepid class look.

I planned to do a similar look with my larger version. Except I'd have the pylons starting a little further forward, and plan to smooth out the top deflector and other exposed greebly sensor platforms.

I'm really looking forward to seeing you finish this!

Hi patrickivan,
sorry no progress on this model for the time being as I’m back at sea and didn’t bring this model with me (only some Klingons kits ;-)
What pylons do you intend to use, some Enr-E pylons ?

I intend to ask Resin Modeller to check if it is possible to release this refit version if he can modify his 3D files and if it is manageable .... :)

That's a shame. Oh well. Anticipation and all that I suppose...

Because of the size (what is that old Revell kit scale? 1:670 or something odd?), I'd be using some old TMP E refit pylons I have. They're not my first choice. I don't know, I could try to scratch build them.

But It's the nacelles that are the real issue. I'd want those Intrepid class type, but they'd be huge...

I haven't even started, AND I don't want to derail your thread too much here. I was just excited to see that someone is doing this and it DOES look like a great idea. :D

You could always try a set of MVM Cyclone carrier refit nacelles. If you order from the parts page the nacelles come with a set of pylons that look similar to the Sovereign ones.
Here is a screenshot of the page and at $5 dollars these are a steal. Decals for the nacelles are $5 but you have to buy the whole ship sheet.

For a Voyager in sacred scale the warp nacelles and pylons could be the ones from the cyclone refit as I did.
For a Revell kit of Voyager maybe the Venture’s nacelles or some kit/toy in the 1400 or 1000 scale ?

Thanks for the heads up on that. Just checked it out (out of stock), but the option could be there.
