1/2500 half finished projects #1. Hutzell. Finished
I just realised how many half finished 1/2500 kits I have! If I share my shame, maybe it will prompt some completions
Number 1, the Hutzell. My inspiration for having a go at this was Kratok’s beautifully executed model shown fairly recently. He was also kind enough to share his 3D printed octagon engine thingy’s between the impulse engines. A couple of differences in my build is that I used a “refit” style lower planetary sensor and left off any hint of a deflector dish anywhere (I’ve come to accept that Starfleet must have had an alternative system which they used on some of their vessels).
Here’s where I got to before hitting a wall. I had a spare Starcraft 1/1400 refit Warp pylon, but only one.
The requirement of another scratch built mirror pylon has held me up on this one as I just can’t seem to be motivated into hunting through my pile of styrene sheets and off cuts to get this done.

I'm with you, I have 9 incomplete projects that are in the works right now. I have been working on them for about a year now.......... and I keep on purchasing more and more!
For my Hutzel, I used pylons from a 1/2500 scale Ent-A...... Looks sleeker to me.

I can't wait to see your finished take on the design, Andy. I purchased one of each of the scales that Larry had offered the parts to on Shapeways, getting two in 1/2500, one at 1/1400, and one at 1/1000. I dunno if I'll ever build all of the

There's nothing wrong with purchasing more. What's wrong is when you keep starting new projects without completing new projects. That's when you know you have a problem. I have shelves full of nearly completed models, with many only needing some minor touchup painting and/or decals....No Good modeler wrote: ↑Wed Jun 20, 2018 6:49 pm I'm with you, I have 9 incomplete projects that are in the works right now. Really slow going with the decals with multiple re-application of the Decal fix to try and get them to sit down nicely.
Just gave it another application tonight. I’m going to get all the decals on before I add the third nacelle.

Lookin' good, Andy! I really like how clean she is, too.

Thanks Jeff . I got a few more decals on today. It so slow going because I have to wait for each group of decals to set before I move onto the next lot.
