Do you intend to leave the engines as 4 separate tubes or do you plan to merge them in some fashion?

I intend to merge them to a single rectangular tube with rounded edges. Think of the Warbird's nacelles with a 1950s feel. They'll have to be angled inward because that was the effect on their alignment as a result of the shim

Thanks Kratok!

I hate to do this but I'm going to withdraw my entry for reasons that there's too much model at the end of time (I don't think I'll finish it before the deadline). I know, I know it's only the beginning of September, but for reasons I can't go into at the moment I won't have time.

My new goal is to finish it by the end of the year. I'll ask the mods to move it to the 2500 forum and, if possible, combine it with my other thread there where I first breached the subject.

Sorry to hear that you have to back out of the contest, but glad you will keep us posted regarding ongoing progress. I would love to see how this turns out.

Good luck. Hope things settle down for you.

Thanks Kratok! My reasons for bowing out are actually good ones (not just in the sense that they're "justified" but that it's a good thing they're happening). But they're exponentially consuming my time. I do regret having to withdraw, but I see that I'll either be rushed to finish (and not do a good job) or will simply run out of time.
